Why do I need a patch test if I've already had treatments before in another clinic or if I haven't had treatment in 6 months?
If you have not returned to a DepiCool centre for 6 months+ or you are a new client to DepiCool, even if you have previously had treatment elsewhere in another clinic you will need a new “Patch Test” appointment before undergoing treatment with us.
A Patch test is a mandatory UK legislation in the United Kingdom before undergoing this type of cosmetic treatment. However there are other reasons you would also need to take this test:
Your skin phototype may have altered (i.e your skin is now darker/lighter) which will in turn affect the programme on the IPL machine that you will be treated with.
You may want to change to a new centre within the DepiCool brand, but we do not for reasons of client confidentiality post private & confidential client documents, so you will need a new Patch Test at your new centre in order to re-commence your course of treatment
Other centres will not share their private & confidential client data with us, so it would make it necessary to have a new patch test before undergoing treatment with us
Please remember though – with DepiCool a Patch Test is a FREE appointment and will only take 20 minutes of your time!!
