The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of all health and adult social care in England.

The Care Quality Commission fulfils its role in promoting quality in healthcare through providing an independent assessment of the standards of services provided by the NHS, private healthcare and voluntary organisations.

In order to give Intense Pulsed Light treatments, registration with the CQC is required. This means that a centre may receive annual inspection visits, in addition to unannounced inspections at any time.

Each DepiCool centre is registered with the Care Quality Commission or has registration pending. The CQC makes historic data public, currently information from 2008 can be seen online.
